La Marzocco Linea Classic S EE Semi-Automatic Espresso Machine

Now, with the update to the Linea Classic S, you’ll still find the same, clean lines and user-friendly operation with a few new tricks up its sleeve.

The La Marzocco Linea Classic S EE is still a true, dual boiler, semi-automatic espresso machine that delivers optimized workflow for espresso and powerful milk steaming capabilities. However, with the upgrade to the Classic S, comes an integrated, dual PID that allows for quick, electronic changes to both boilers. Saturated group heads keep the circulation of hot water flowing, ensuring that temperatures at the group heads remain consistent, while updated, half-turn steam knobs reduce the amount of movement needed on the barista’s part to reach full steaming pressure.

With the update to the Linea Classic S EE comes the ability to connect to La Marzocco’s Pro App, which allows for quick changes across multiple features found on the machine. With the Pro App, baristas can modify things like coffee and steam boiler temperatures, view usage reports, and see how close to regular maintenance the Linea Classic S is. La Marzocco is consistently updating the Pro App, meaning that users will have access to new features with each software update instead of having to replace parts and components manually.

Who is the Linea Classic S EE for?

• Specialty coffee shops are the most common outlet for it, but anyone that wants to be very intentional around their coffee an have a dedicated barista to the machine will have an great experience with the Linea Classic S EE.

How does it compare to other machines in this category?

• From a durability perspective, it's at the top of the class. It is a semi automatic machine though, which means it is just a manual on/off switch to brew coffee. However, it does have the benefit of dual boilers. Other machines in this price range are usually digital single boiler heat exchange machines, but with volumetric programming, such as the Sanremo F18SB or Aurelia Wave Vol.

How long will this machine last?

• As long as proper water filtration is maintained and preventative maintenance is performed, we would expect around 7-10 years of life.
