What Is Auto-Steam?

Many new espresso machines are equipped with an auto-steam wand. Unlike a manual steam wand, machines with auto-steam feature a button instead of manual steam handles. The great thing about an auto-steam wand is that the barista can take a hands-off approach to texturing milk for beverages. The user can simply insert the wand into the pitcher and let auto-steam take over to create those perfect small bubbles. 

What is a Gooseneck Attachment? 

A gooseneck wand is another helpful device that’s designed to simplify the art of steaming milk. Gooseneck wands are temperature controlled, and the barista uses a button to program the temperature. Once the wand is placed in the pitcher of milk, the wand monitors the temperature as the barista moves the pitcher to texture the milk. As soon as the milk reaches the programmed temperature, the steam automatically shuts off.
